new Rit
So I have noticed that Ritualists are now being used in almost every team build out there. So I was looking to get some advice on whether or not it would worth it for me to create a ritualist?

In my opinion: Yes (i love ritualists)
But that doesnt mean you will like it as well... why not try it yourself for a few days? |

Also recommend you try it and see if it is right for you.
Having said that, I think Rits are great. The wife loves hers so much it's all she ever plays anymore. I don't follow the meta that closely so I don't know if the recent skill changes have resulted in Rits being more favored for groups than before - if that is important to you you will need to make your best judgment, but myself and everyone else I've ever seen talk about them note that Rits are *fun*, which is usually what matters to me. |

Ritalists are extremely fun, because they are the jack of all trades just like rangers. But ritu's can deal damage, apply hexes, defend, heal and also do melee damage with spirit strength. And they are one of the best flag runners..
But i'm not playing my ritu alot, because I think that spirit spamming is way to boring. But I enjoy the class from time to time. |

One of the easiest character's I've made. Simply being native to Factions as a Ritualist is a HUGE advantage too... since Factions is so quick, lvl 20 instantly, short storyline..you can develop a great Ritualist in a small time frame.

A ritualist is also a great NM solo (no h/h) farmer. Feathers, greens, Nicholas items, you name it, and your rit can farm it. In between her missions and quests, this is what my rit does. She has supplied many of my other characters' heroes with greens.

If you want to play a Rit, make one. If you don't, play something else. How much a profession is used makes no difference if you don't like them. It's a game remember, you're supposed to be enjoying it.

I've been playing ritualist since Factions came out. I've tried playing other professions, but they just couldn't compare in my opinion. I love him so. Though, I only tend to stick to low-mid PvE stuff, and Low end PvP.

One day, after being bored with the game, I decided to use my Rit for more than just a mule (she was level 1).
Nowadays I play my Rit a lot, especially now that they decreased the casting time of the Spirits. (I've also converted my Paragon mule to an Imbagon - another class I didn't think I'd like.) As was mentioned, using a Spirit Spammer is a great way to solo farm in NM. Atm, I'm using my SS Rit and an MM hero (with an extra heal spell) to try to farm Pillaged Goods. Everything dies really quickly (maybe too quickly?), but I've only gotten 1 PG so far. (I'm not sure I even need the MM ) Rits - next nerf? P.s. -If you want to make an SS Rit, getting Vampirism (Sunspear) and Summon Spirits (Luxon/Kurzick) is a good idea. Edit - nope, don't need the MM Last edited by Quaker; Mar 03, 2010 at 04:01 PM // 16:01.. Reason: P.s. & MM |

Recently created a rit, not very like it at first few hours. Thought it was kinda too passive.(With the skills from noob island). But then I bought some spirits and now I capped SoS, everything is a piece of cake

Rits really are quite flexible with their mix of offense, defence and healing. So much so our guild did an all rit FoW clear, using predominantly Rit skills on everyone.

As someone who has used a rit as a main character since Factions, I'm very happy with the recent "buffs" to this class and the new-found willingness to have them in pugs. Unfortunately, it's created a problem, one that you'll need to be prepared for if you ever use pugs.....make sure that you can run a build that's different to the SoS+pain+bloodsong+vampirism etc build.....every new rit player uses it (because it's easy) and if you end up in a pug with another rit, one of you will have to change builds (though what usually happens is one of them leaves, because they don't want to run a build that isn't 1-2-3-4). Restoration builds can be very handy, so I recommend having a few of those skills for use as well, just in case.
